Fuel Prices Set for Major Rollback Starting April 15: Gasoline Down ₱3.60, Diesel ₱2.90
NEWS

Motorists across the Philippines can expect significant relief at the pumps starting Tuesday, April 15, 2025, as major oil companies announce substantial price rollbacks.
According to advisories from Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., Shell Pilipinas Corp., and Cleanfuel, the following price reductions will take effect:
Gasoline: ₱3.60 per liter
Diesel: ₱2.90 per liter
Kerosene: ₱3.30 per liter (excluding Cleanfuel, which does not offer kerosene)
These adjustments will be implemented at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday for most companies, while Cleanfuel will apply the changes at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
This marks the second consecutive week of rollbacks for gasoline and kerosene. Last week, prices were reduced by ₱0.10 per liter for gasoline and ₱0.50 per liter for kerosene, with diesel prices remaining unchanged.
The Department of Energy's Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) attributes the significant price cuts to several global factors, including escalating trade tensions between China and the United States, anticipated reductions in Asia-bound crude shipments from Saudi Arabia in May, and increased production by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
As of April 8, 2025, the year-to-date adjustments reflect a net increase of ₱4.55 per liter for gasoline, ₱4.45 per liter for diesel, and ₱0.40 per liter for kerosene.
Motorists are advised to monitor further announcements from other fuel companies and stay updated on potential future adjustments.
